Beyond Matchmaking – More than a delegation trip
InnoMatch Brazil 2026 is designed for ambitious, internationally minded companies seeking to connect with Brazilian corporates, researchers, innovation ecosystems and future collaboration partners.
As part of Sweden Brazil Innovation Week 2026, selected companies receive support before, during and after the week in Brazil, helping you access relevant ecosystems, identify strategic contacts, and explore opportunities for innovation partnerships, joint development, and future business or R&D&I collaborations.
This is more than a delegation trip.
And it is more than traditional matchmaking.
Together with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Enterprise Europe Network and Ignite Nordic, we combine corporate collaboration pathways with research and innovation opportunities between Sweden and Brazil.

The program focuses on four thematic areas:

The journey – Before, During and After Brazil
Before Brazil
The journey starts with an Expression of Interest followed by ongoing interviews, dialogue, and needs analysis.
Together, we explore your company’s ambitions, areas of collaboration interest, and potential opportunities in Brazil. Selected companies receive support with positioning, preparation, and partner identification ahead of Sweden Brazil Innovation Week.

During Brazil
During Innovation Week
Selected companies may take part in a curated on-site program in Brazil during Week 46.
The program is continuously updated and developed and may include:
ecosystem introductions
tailored study visits
meetings with Brazilian corporates
pre-booked 1:1 meetings
networking activities
innovation dialogues
Activities are expected to take place in São Paulo and Belo Horizonte in Brazil.
After Brazil
After the week in Brazil, we continue the dialogue together through follow-up conversations, reflection, and action plans.
The ambition is to support long-term partnerships, future projects, and continued collaboration pathways between Swedish and Brazilian actors.

Why Brazil?
Brazil is Latin America’s largest economy and one of the world’s most dynamic innovation markets. With more than 200 million people, strong industrial sectors and major transitions underway, Brazil offers significant opportunities for Swedish SMEs and startups ready to explore international R&D and innovation collaboration.
Through the Sweden-Brazil Innovation Initiative, your company becomes part of a long-standing partnership built on shared interests in sustainability, industrial transformation and innovation.
Swedish expertise in engineering, sustainability, digitalisation and applied innovation is highly relevant in this context – and Brazil can offer both scale, strong partners and real-world challenges where new solutions are needed.

Bioeconomy
Brazil is a global biodiversity and biomass powerhouse, with increasing focus on sustainable biomass, bioindustrialisation, biofuels, biobased materials and circular use of residues. For Swedish companies working with industrial biotechnology, biobased materials or sustainable production, Brazil can offer both strong research environments and opportunities for applied collaboration.

Life Science & Digital Health
Brazil has a large public healthcare system, SUS, alongside a growing private healthcare sector. This creates a relevant landscape for solutions within digital health, diagnostics, telemedicine, remote monitoring, prevention and more efficient healthcare delivery.

Sustainable Cities
Brazilian cities face complex challenges connected to mobility, energy, waste, water, resilience and urban development. Swedish SMEs working with smart, sustainable and scalable solutions can contribute with technologies and methods that support more liveable and resource-efficient cities.

Sustainable Mining & Green Metallurgy
Brazil has one of the world’s most important mining sectors, with growing interest in decarbonisation, circularity, resource efficiency, safety and critical raw materials. This creates opportunities for Swedish solutions in areas such as electrification, automation, waste reduction, water management and green metallurgy.
Part of Sweden Brazil Innovation Week
InnoMatch Brazil 2026 is part of Sweden Brazil Innovation Week and the Sweden Brazil Innovation Initiative (SBII), bringing together companies, corporates, researchers, innovation environments, and public actors from Sweden and Brazil.
Through the combined expertise of RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Enterprise Europe Network, and Ignite Nordic, participating companies gain access to both corporate collaboration pathways and research & innovation opportunities across the Brazilian ecosystem.

Travel grants
Selected companies may be eligible to apply for travel grants from the Swedish Innovation Agency, Vinnova, to participate in the on-site program in Brazil during Week 46.
To be considered, companies must:
- be registered in Sweden
- comply with the SME definition according to EU/Vinnova
- and have a clear purpose related to future international R&D&I collaboration between Sweden and Brazil.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Final selection and possible travel grants are subject to eligibility, evaluation and approval from Vinnova.
